2018 Commonwealth Games - Volunteer Opportunities

2018 Commonwealth Games - Volunteer Opportunities

From 4–15 April 2018, more than 6,600 athletes and team officials from 70 Commonwealth nations and territories will come to Australia to share in the excitement of the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games.

Volunteer applications will open on Monday 6 February 2017 and we encourage our Members and Sports Trainers to register your interest. This is a great opportunity to develop sports and emergency medicine skills, build networks and be part of Queenslands biggest ever sporting event.

These games will be
largest sporting event to be staged in Australia this decade, putting Gold Coast and Queensland on the world sporting stage. It will feature the largest integrated sports program in Commonwealth Games history, comprising 18 sports and seven para-sports.

A team of 15,000 passionate volunteer medical and health professionals are required to deliver safe, appropriate healthcare for athletes, officials, workforce and spectators throughout the Games period. This includes a multidisciplinary team of volunteer medical and healthcare professionals including Podiatrist's, Physiotherapist's, Sports Doctor's, Massage Therapist's, Sports Trainer's and more.

If you would like any additional information or material to share, for example advertisements or articles for publications, please send all requests to medical@goldoc.com.
