Rachel is currently the Team Physiotherapist for the Australian Women’s Basketball Team and recently traveled to the Rio Olympic Games. Rachel will be running a workshop on The Hamstring. An overview of her presentation can be seen below.

It’s safe to say that 99.9% of Sports Trainers will have seen and had to manage an athlete with a hamstring injury at some time. From the community player to the elite, hamstring injuries constantly cost athletes game time throughout a season. It is of great importance that we as Sports Trainers understand the steps involved in assessing and preventing hamstring injuries.

Australian Women’s Basketball Team Physiotherapist, Rachel McAlister will be giving delegates an in depth guide to assessing and preventing hamstring injuries. Rachel’s experience in elite sport and community clinic has led her to see more hamstring injuries than can be counted. This is a workshop not to be missed!
