CLUB SAFETY TICK ANNOUCEMENT

CLUB SAFETY TICK ANNOUCEMENT

What a great start to the year! Just announced, SASMA has been successful in receiving a $190,000 grant over two years through Minister Hildyard’s Active State Collaboration program to deliver the CLUB SAFETY TICK initiative for sporting clubs, councils and state sporting organisations.  Partnering with YMCA SA, SANFL, Medipro Sports Tape & Medical Supplies, Sport SA, City of Holdfast Bay, Limestone Coast LGA, Netball SA and City of Onkaparinga.

The Club Safety Tick will attract families and players of all ages and provide peace of mind that their club takes safety seriously with concussion education, policies, appropriate first aid kits, stretchers, accredited sports trainers, and sideline help personnel. This initiative supports active lives and important community connection with everyone having a role to play. We are encouraging people to choose a club/sport that has the TICK!

We look forward to working with our members and sports trainers across SA to deliver and roll out this initiative. This new program and support reflects that great legacy SASMA has built over the last 63 years. Our recent activity across the State, doubling our education attendee numbers, focusing on local communities and our SASMA people/presenters/members/sports trainers has cemented our purpose with a strong future ahead.
