SASMA and the Festival of Sport

We continued our relationship with Sport SA, providing subsided community education across the state including many regional areas.
We have seen a significant increase in the number of accredited sports trainers in the 2022-23 year (534) compared to the previous year (314), an increase of 185 new trainers are out there supporting their community! Big wraps to Deb Hocking and the team for driving this work, along with SASMA members across metropolitan and regional SA.
We are also excited to be a part of the upcoming Festival of Sport, in collaboration with Sport SA, in leading one of the six ‘Leaning Hubs’. The Festival of Sport is being held from June 29th to July 1st at The Drive (State Tennis Centre), SASMA will be running several educational workshops throughout the event including sports taping, concussion education, policy advice for SSO’s and clubs, plus much more!
We encourage you to promote this great community initiative to any of your networks, colleagues, sports teams!
