Ingrid Oakes | Business Support Lead | we welcomed Ingrid in early 2022 primarily in a finance admin role, however progressing to a more permanent Business Support role as the year progressed. Ingrid is a valuable member of the team, bringing a wealth of business admin knowledge to SASMA.

Deb Hocking | Program Manager – Community, Education and Engagement | we welcomed Deb in August, Deb comes from an education and sporting operations background. Deb’s focus will be on community education and further developing our sport trainer programs and education in schools and sporting clubs. Deb will also be supporting education, growth and support in our regional centres.

Jack previously managed SASMAs community and professional education sessions, he will now manage the development of professional education, marketing as well as other major projects and initiatives.

We farewelled valued staff members in 2022, Sue Pascoe who managed a number of projects and content reviews for SASMA over the last 18 months and for a number of years before that, including the management of our SIMS coverage (providing a safe sporting environment on the sideline).

Sue continues to be involved in course content review from time to time and presenting positions and we thank her for her invaluable knowledge and commitment to the organisation.

Katelyn Nicholson who filled our important Admin role and being the first point of contact for the community for 18 months departed to pursue new career opportunities.

Celeste De Jong who managed finance admin also left the organisation for a full time role. We thank Sue, Katelyn and Celeste for their contributions and wish them all the best moving forward.

Thank you to all staff who have regularly gone above and beyond to build SASMA, support excellent education and the sports injury management service and to provide exceptional service to our members, sponsors and stakeholders.
