Sports Trainer of the Year Awards - Wrap Up

Saturday February 24 was the Sports Trainer of the Year Awards Night! What a fantastic night it was celebrating our Sports Trainers!
Firstly SASMA would like to say congratulations to our award winners and a big thank you to those who came along and got involved in supporting our Trainers, the night was a huge success!
The evening kicked off with some delicious canapes and arrival drinks catered by the Stamford Plaza. This was a great opportunity to see the various raffle prizes on display and the Limited Edition Anna Meares Jersey up for grabs.
A welcome from SASMA Executive Officer, Daniel Clark started off our presentations for the Distinguished Service Awards. These Awards went to Sports Trainers recognise for their dedicated service and commitment to the role of a Sports Trainer.

We also announced an outstanding Contribution to SASMA Award, presented to Sue Pascoe.
We were very fortunate to have Guest Speaker, Louise Bawden, Three Time Olympic Volleyballer and Beach Volleyballer attend on the night. Ian Scarborough from Wakefield Sports Clinic presented a short interview with Louise talking about her journey and life as an Olympic Volleyballer.
Of course, by this stage we were all very excited to see the award presentations for the Sports Trainer of the Year Award Winners. A huge Congratulations to the following Sports Trainers:
Young Sports Trainer of the Year - Wakefield Sports Clinic
