Emergency Response Coordinator

The Emergency Response Coordinator (ERC) course is a three hour course and has been developed on behalf of the AFL following a review of its standards for first aid and emergency care across all levels of Australian Football. The ERC is proposed as a mandatory requirement starting in 2013 for all community football clubs including AusKick and addresses the fundamentals of injury management for sport.

  • Concussion Management
  • On Field Communication
  • Transporting Injured participants

Cost: $55.00 incl. GST per person

The ERC can be run at your club or association venue.

Cost for courses held at your club / association: $550 incl. GST (up to 15 participants additional $22 per person over 15)

*Please note courses held outside of the Metropolitan area may include a travel cost depending on the distance course presenter will be required to travel to venue.

To receive the full ERC Certification participants must have an Provide First Aid certificate or equivalent . Participants who are yet to complete their first aid will receive a certificate of attendance until first aid qualifications have been achieved.

The AFL acknowledges SA Sports Medicine Association’s long term and on-going and commitment to quality sports trainer education. SA Sports Medicine Association is an AFL approved provider of Level 1 & Level 2 Sports Trainers and Emergency Response Coordinators courses. Graduates of these courses will be entitled to recognition by the AFL as having obtained the necessary skills to provide trainer services at the relevant level of the qualification to Australian Football games and training sessions.
