This week (2nd-9th July) is NAIDOC Week 2023. National NAIDOC Week is an opportunity for all Australians to learn about First Nations cultures and histories and participate in celebrations of the oldest, continuous living cultures on earth. For our Association, it is an opportunity to highlight our commitment to constitutional recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people through a First Nations Voice to Parliament and to reconciliation, health equity and sovereignty.

Call for Papers: Understanding the needs and experiences of marginalised fathers - March 2023

The Health Promotion Journal of Australia and the Australian Journal of Rural Health are partnering on an exciting project with SMS4Dads to explore the unique experience and needs of marginalised fathers. Both journals will publish special themed sections on marginalised fathers in parallel commencing in the lead up to Father’s Day, 3rd September 2023. The collection of themed sections will then be compiled into a future Virtual Issue to feature on the Wiley Online Library homepage for each journal.

Future ChangeMaker Award - February 2023

Congratulations to Krushnadevsinh Ravalji, or Kano, for winning the 2022 VicHealth Future Changemaker Award.

VicHealth's new and exciting Future Changemaker Award was supported by the AHPA Vic-Tas Branch.

Kano is an independent youth advocate, working closely with young people from diverse backgrounds to promote inclusion, physical activity and physical health. A true changemaker!
