2016 SASMA Professional Members Conference

SA Sports Medicine Association (SASMA) is pleased to announce the 2016 SASMA Members Conference will be held on Sunday 22nd May at the Adelaide Oval.

The theme of this years Conference is “The Active Adolescent: Building for the Future”.

We have assembled a line-up of high quality speakers from across the country including Keynote Presenter Adjunct Professor Peter Fricker OAM, and Jan Stirling AM, World Championship Basketball Coach.

Other presenters will include:

  • Dr Tim Gabbett, Applied Sports Scientist, worked with elite international athletes over several Commonwealth Games and Olympic Games cycles. Tim is a sports science and coaching consultant for several high performance teams around the world. 
  • Dr David Spurrier, APA Musculoskeletal and Sports Physiotherapist, a physiotherapist at the 1996 Melbourne Commonwealth Games and the past four Paralympic Games and is currently a team physiotherapist to Australian Swimming. 
  • Keren Faulkner, Specialist Sports Physiotherapist, the Manager of Performance Services for the Australian Paralympic Committee

Registrations are now open and early bird will close on Friday 15th April. Places are limited in each of the afternoon workshops so register as soon as possible to guarantee your spot!

This years Conference will also be available online via a Live Webcast. If you are unable to attend you will be still be able to participate via the Live Webcast (e.g. viewing the presentations live online and having the ability to participate by asking questions to the speakers and panelists). Live Webcast registrants will also have access to the videos of the day post conference.
