Sports Trainer of the Year Awards 2017 - Wrap Up

Saturday 25 February 2017 saw SASMA launch its inaugural Sports Trainer of the Year Awards night as a stand alone event.
The night was a huge success with over 100 eager sports trainers in attendance.
The night kicked off with a welcome from SASMA General Manger, Daniel Clark and President, Verity Cooper who also announced the Distinguished Service Awards. Distinguished Service Awards went to Sports Trainers to recognise their dedicated service and commitment to the role of a Sports Trainer.

We also announced two outstanding Contribution to SASMA Awards to Jeff Palmer and Alan Coulter.
We were very fortunate to have Rio Olympic Gold Medalist and local lad, Kyle Chalmers as our guest speaker for the night. SASMA member David Spurrier delighted attendees with a lighthearted interview with Kyle talking about his Olympic swimming journey, Port Lincoln life and not forgetting his copious amounts of pet lizards. Kyle also presented our Rex Airlines door prize to lucky winner, John Wood. John will be off for a complimentary trip for 2 with Rex Airlines. We thank Kyle and David for both giving up their Saturday night to be in attendance.
